LAGRANGE — The Keystone Wildcats turned a tight game at the half into a double-digit win thanks to a strong second half, defeating visiting Clearview 50-38 in Lorain County League play.
Clearview and Keystone played a tight game through the first half. The Clippers led 14-11 after a quarter and 23-22 at the half. C.J. Fleming had 7 points for the Clippers in the first half, while Davonte Seymore and Jordan Reed added 6 each.
But in the second half, Keystone came to life while Clearview’s offense went stagnant. Clearview scored only 15 points in the second half, with 6 of the 15 coming in the final two minutes of the game. Meanwhile, Keystone posted quarters of 11 and 17 to outscore Clearview 28-15 in the second half to rally for the 12-point win.
Clearview drops to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the Lorain County League. They will host Amherst Steele in a Saturday night non-conference matchup tomorrow night.
