Football: Clippers Hold Off Hornets, Mother Nature

SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP — The home opener at Tom Hoch Field gave the Clearview Clippers multiple tests tonight:  a tough John Hay club, performing on the home field for the first time this season, and a wildcard from Mother Nature. Due to the potential of inclement weather, the Clearview vs John Hay game tonight will start at 6:15pm.  Gates will open at the normal 5:30pm time slot.

Varsity Football: Clippers Dominate Vermilion, Win 46-0

VERMILION — The Clearview Clippers dominated from start to finish against Vermilion, winning their second straight game to open the season, 46-0 at Vermilion on Friday night. Clearview controlled the game from the start.  Vermilion went 3-and-out on its opening possession, and the Clippers answered with an 80-yard drive to take the lead.  Chase Christensen
