Boys Varsity Wrestling · Clearview Wrestlers Come Home With Some Hardware

The Clipper Wrestling Team wrapped up the 2020-21 regular season at the LC8 Tournament last night at Keystone High School.  Despite being short handed, many grapplers returned with some Lorain County League hardware. The Clippers were led by State Ranked David Fitzpatrick (#25), who knocked off two State Ranked foes on his way to winning the 170 lb LC8 Championship.  He was followed by seniors Oscar Rivera (113 lb) – Third Place, Jaymin Delk (132 lb) – Third Place, State Ranked (#25) Sean Kane (120 lb) – 4th Place, and an outstanding performance from Freshman Greg O’Hern (160 lb) – Third Place.

The Wrestlers return to action on February 27th, when they compete in the OHSAA Division II Sectional Tournament at Painesville Harvey.  The top four finishers will qualify for the District Tournament at Perry High School (Lake County).
