Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Clippers Perform Well in Home Track Meet

The Lady Clippers Track & Field team finished second last night.  Mya English won the 100m dash running a 14.2 and Iyanna Thomas also pointed in the 100. The girls 4×100 and 4×200 consisting of Nickoloff, Gaddy, English, and King took 1st places. Freshman Samara Gaddy won the 400m dash and Sanai Flowers pointed in the 400.  Madilyn Love won the high jump at 4’6”.  Nelia Holly was the runner up in the shot put followed by Laila Brown and Gabby Salkowitz. Freshman Gabby Salkowitz was a runner up in the disc followed by Nelia Holly and Laila Brown.  Also to be noted, freshman Hope Dandrea and Amy Lamont threw personal bests in the shot and disc events.

The Clipper Boys Track & Field team also finished second last night.  Highlights for the Clippers included Jacob Ritter winning the 1600 with a 4:55 time, and second in the 3200 running at 10:51.  Stacy Littlejohn swept the throws with a disc toss of 144’5” and a shot put heave of 42”4’. Dylan Russ came in second in the disc and CJ Fleming finished second in the shot. The boys 4×200 team of Carreras, Engle, Rebman, and Reed took first place. The 400m was a run away with Rebman taking first with a 53 second effort. Freshmen Jalin Ferenzi and Damian Garcia placed second and third in the High Jump.

The Clearview Track & Field Teams will be in action again this Friday at the Lorain County Track Invitational held at Avon High School with field events beginning at 3:00pm.
