BROOKLYN — The Clearview Boys Basketball team said goodbye to the Patriot Athletic Conference with a 87-36 win at Brooklyn on Friday night.
As the PAC dissolves at the end of the school year, Clearview will play in the new Lorain County Eight for the next conference game next season. For the Clippers and Hurricanes, it could be the last time they see each other on the hardwood in the foreseeable future.
Clearview dominated from start to finish on Senior Night at Brooklyn. The Clippers led 24-6 after a quarter and pushed the lead to 45-21 by halftime. Javon Todd was on fire in the first half, with 21 points, while Chase Christensen pitched in 14 in the half.
Clearview cruised the rest of the way. Three different Clippers hit career high game totals tonight — Javon Todd had 28, Chase Christensen had 21 and Dylan Rebman had 11.
Jared Greene led the Hurricanes with 11, while Hunter Majewski had 9.
Clearview finished the regular season at 16-6 overall and finished in second place in the PAC Stripes Division with a 14-2 record in league play, one game behind division champion Fairview.
Clearview will now look forward to tournament play, which begins on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. when the 7-seed Clippers host 10-seed Padua in the opening round of the Division II boys tournament from the North Ridgeville District.
The Junior Varsity boys closed out their season with a victory, defeating Brooklyn 61-51.
