SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP — The Clearview Clippers got back in the win column on Wednesday night, cruising past the Brooklyn Hurricanes, 64-33.

The Clippers were led by Ariana Vazquez, who scored a game-high 26 points.  Vazquez scored 5 of the Clippers’ 13 first-quarter points, pushing the Clippers to a 13-5 lead after a quarter.

The second quarter went back and forth.  Vazquez added 6 more while LeAnna Rogers and Fabi Rosalez-Sadler each added 4 points.  Clearview led 31-19 at halftime.

The Clippers pulled away in the third quarter.  Clearview outscored Brooklyn 23-6 as Vazquez hit five field goals in the quarter, while LeAnna Rogers scored 9 of her own in the quarter.  Brooklyn committed eight fouls in the quarter and trailed 54-25 after three.

Clearview cruised from there, working their way to the free throw line from being in the bonus the entire fourth quarter, and rolled to the 64-33 win.

LeAnna Rogers added 17 points for the Clippers, while Fabi Rosalez-Sadler came off the bench with 6 points.  Savannah David led Brooklyn with 15 points, while Jaida Dominguez had 8.

Clearview improves to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the Patriot Athletic Conference.  Clearview will host Keystone on Saturday afternoon, with the JV game beginning at 1 p.m. and the Varsity to follow.

In the junior varsity contest, Clearview defeated Brooklyn 26-16.
