FAIRVIEW PARK — The Fairview Warriors handed the Clearview Clippers their first loss of the season tonight, defeating the Clippers 82-62 in a PAC Stripes Division matchup in the Clippers final regular season visit to Fairview as conference rivals.

Clearview led by a single point after a quarter, 22-21, as Javon Todd beat the buzzer with a corner three to give the Clippers the lead.  The Warriors took control soon after, opening a 12-2 run to start the second quarter to open a 9-point lead.  Clearview was able to close the lead to 6 at the half at 42-36.

Clearview’s offense could muster only 26 points in the second half, while Fairview scored 40 to pull away for the 82-62 win.

Clearview is now 6-1 on the season, and Fairview improves to 7-1 on the season.  Both teams are now 5-1 in the Patriot Athletic Conference.

Fairview also dominated the Freshmen and Junior Varsity contests.  Fairview won the freshmen game 64-20 and the junior varsity game 68-37.

Clearview’s boys basketball teams will return home for a two-game homestand this week — hosting Keystone on Tuesday night and Brooklyn on Friday night.
