OBERLIN — The Clearview Clippers dominated from start to finish Friday night, routing the Oberlin Phoenix 91-47 as the Clippers head into the holiday break undefeated.
Clearview scored the first eleven, led 31-6 after a quarter, and by the time the Phoenix reached double digits, Clearview had opened a 43-10 lead.
Josh Cordero scored 8 in the first quarter and 16 in the game. Javon Todd led all scorers with 17 points tonight, including 5 three-pointers. Jamir Billings hit a pair of threes in the first quarter as well, helping Clearview build its 31-6 lead. Billings finished with 10 points tonight.
Clearview led 48-12 at the break, as the Clipper defense did not allow Oberlin to score from the field in the second quarter.
As the Clippers rotated players in the second half, Clearview continued to build their lead. Oberlin showed some great effort in the second half, fighting for loose balls and working the boards. Aaron Hopkins led the Phoenix with 15 points tonight, including 8 points in the second half. James Davis added 10 for Oberlin as well.

Up and down the roster, every player contributed — every Clipper in the book scored tonight as the Clippers remained undefeated, moving to 6-0 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the Patriot Athletic Conference. Oberlin falls to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot Athletic Conference.
The Clippers are off for the holidays, and will have a big game starting the 2019 portion of the schedule — at Fairview on Friday, January 4.
Oberlin dominated the Junior Varsity contest, winning 73-42 over Clearview.
In the freshmen game, the Clearview Clippers rallied from a 20-3 deficit after a quarter to defeat Oberlin 56-47.
